The Andrés Þór Trio has been active since 2021 and consists of three highly accomplished musicians on the Icelandic and international jazz scene: guitarist Andrés Þór, French double bassist Nico Moreaux, and drummer Magnús Tryggvason Eliassen. The trio’s music is rooted in the jazz tradition while also being shaped by strong melodic writing, lyrical improvisation, and an intimate, responsive interplay.

The trio released their debut album Hereby on the Norwegian label Losen Records in 2022, receiving excellent reviews. The album features nine original compositions by Andrés, exploring the possibilities of the guitar trio format—from expansive Nordic atmospheres to rhythmic drive and harmonic depth. Their next album, Relocate, is set for release on Losen Records in early 2026.

Each member brings a distinct artistic voice: Andrés with his warm tone and refined phrasing; Nico Moreaux, known for his lyrical compositions, grounded bass sound, and collaborations with artists such as Tigran Hamasyan and Jorge Rossy; and Magnús Tryggvason Eliassen, one of Iceland’s most versatile drummers, active across the Nordic music scene and a member of bands such as ADHD and Moses Hightower. The concert marks the official album release of Relocate.
